Brisbane Roar is pleased to announce the signing of experienced attacking midfielder, Florin Berenguer on a two-year deal.
The Frenchman joins the club, from Melbourne City having played in 111 Isuzu UTE A-League games winning three Premierships and one Championship, throughout 5 seasons.
In his time at City, the playmaker scored 10 goals and assisted in a further 16 while earning himself a reputation as one of the best players in the league, contributing as a vital cog to City’s recent success.  Â
Known for his vision and sheer technical ability Berenguer has been a fan favourite at City during his time, highlighted by an outstanding 2021/22 season, winning Melbourne City’s Player of the Year, Players’ Player and Members Player of the Year awards.
Prior to his move to the Isuzu UTE A-League, Berenguer previously played for French Ligue 2 club FC Sochaux-Montbéliard notching up 92 appearances with 12 goals, and prior to that, 112 appearances for French Ligue 1 club, Dijon, with 10 goals respectively.
Brisbane Roar is excited to be welcoming Berenguer to the club where he will play a key role alongside Jay O’Shea in midfield.Â
