Brisbane Roar signs Noah Smith from Melbourne Victory

Brisbane Roar is pleased to welcome 22-year-old defender Noah Smith, signing from Melbourne Victory until the end of the 2023/24 Isuzu UTE A-League Season.

This left back prodigy will join the Roar from Melbourne Victory, after starting his professional career with Adelaide United along with a season at Central Coast Mariners.

“At this stage in my career, obviously I’ve played for a few clubs but now it’s just about playing games and getting minutes under my belt, and that’s what I aim to do at Brisbane Roar,” Smith said.

“I’ve been speaking to Warren, and the way they like to play should suit my game style, so it’s a very exciting time for me,” he added.

This new challenge presents Smith with an opportunity to play alongside and learn from experienced individuals with the likes of Tom Aldred, Jay O’Shea and recent signing, Robbie Kruse.

The 22-year-old will strengthen the left side of the Roar defense and is motivated to show his qualities in the left fullback role.

“I’m a natural fullback, I’ve seen Jordan Courtney-Perkins playing there a bit, so we now have more options on that side of the defense, and we can really help the team down that left side,” Smith said.

“I’m very excited to come and start contributing on the field and hopefully help the club get to where it has been in the past,” Smith said.

Smith will wear the no.15 kit for Brisbane Roar.
