Brisbane Roar pre-season fixture update and reschedule to support Queensland’s Australia Cup clubs

Brisbane Roar can confirm that both of the club’s opening men’s pre-season fixtures will now be played one day later than originally scheduled.

The Roar’s first hit-out against Caboolture Sports FC at Moreton Bay Central Sporting Complex will now take place on Wednesday 15 July, with kick-off remaining at 7:30pm. The second friendly against Ipswich FC at Briggs Road Sporting Complex has also moved one day and will now be played on Wednesday 22 July at 7:00pm.

The changes come with two Brisbane clubs set to take the national stage in the Hahn Australia Cup Round of 32. Rochedale Rovers make their Round of 32 debut against SD Raiders FC at Underwood Park on Tuesday 14 July, while Lions FC host A-League Men opposition in Perth Glory at Lions Stadium on Tuesday 21 July.

The Roar had fully planned its pre-season fixtures by early June. However, with two of Queensland’s proudest football clubs playing in the biggest knockout competition in the country, Brisbane Roar wants those nights to belong to them. As such, the Roar has moved both fixtures and is encouraging the entire Brisbane football community to get out and get behind Queensland football, at Underwood Park on the 14th and Spencer Park on the 21st.

Tickets for Rochedale Rovers vs SD Raiders FC are available HERE now. Tickets for Lions FC vs Perth Glory are set to be available soon via Lions FC’s official channels.

The Club thanks both Caboolture Sports FC and Ipswich FC for their support and understanding in accommodating the changes. Their flexibility reflects the strength of the football community in South East Queensland, and both nights promise to be great occasions for local fans.

All planned activities remain in place for the Caboolture and Ipswich fixtures, including pre-game coaching sessions with the current playing squad, a signing session, a merchandise tent and the opportunity to register for a 2026/27 Roar membership.
