Brisbane Roar continues its pre-season matches with a friendly against Western United on Saturday 2 September at Meakin Park, the home of football in Queensland.
Brisbane Roar has worked closely with Football Queensland, the state’s governing body and co-host, to make this pre-season match a family event with food trucks and a coffee van for food and refreshments available for families on the day.
The Roar Active Program’s inflatable field will be set up for juniors to have a kick around themselves on the day, on field three of Meakin Park.
Half-time entertainment will be provided by multi-award-winning and platinum-selling African singer-songwriter and producer, Tresor. We look forward to welcoming Tresor again to the Brisbane Roar.
The match will also act as a further fundraiser for former Brisbane Roar player Izaack Powell who is continuing his treatment to cure leukaemia, with Izaack Powell jerseys on sale. A signed jersey will be auctioned off and a raffle will be drawn with tickets priced at $5, with all proceeds going to Izaack Powell’s recovery fund.
Brisbane Roar looks forward to continuing its close collaboration with Football Queensland and supporting its role in developing and nurturing Queensland’s best young talent.
