Brisbane Roar to visit Heidelberg United in Australia Cup Round of 32

Brisbane Roar were drawn against NPL Victoria side Heidelberg United in Wednesday evening’s Australia Cup Round of 32 live draw.

As a Member Federation club, Heidelberg automatically earned hosting rights for the match which is due to be played between 21 July and 4 August.

The Bergers currently sit sixth in NPL Victoria but are unbeaten in all competitions since 29 April.

They have reached the Australia Cup Quarter Finals on three occasions, last progressing that far in 2018.

The match pits Warren Moon’s men against Roar great Ivan Franjić and his brother Joseph, as well as former Brisbane goalkeeper Brendan White.

Ex-Newcastle Jets striker Kaine Sheppard and former NPL Queensland players Joshua Pin, Ajdin Fetahagic and Reuben Way are among the other familiar faces.

After reaching the Quarter Finals last season, Brisbane will be looking to produce another strong showing following the Queensland Champions Cup clashes with Leeds United (14 July) and Aston Villa (20 July).

Tickets for those two matches are on sale now.
