While his teammates were down south preparing for the vital Hyundai A-League clash against Melbourne Heart on Saturday, Brisbane Roar’s Henrique was back in Brisbane doing his part for McHappy Day.
Between their shifts at Milton, Kangaroo Point and Annerley, the Brazilian winger and club mascot Roary raised hundreds of dollars for the Ronald McDonald House Charities to support seriously ill children and their families.
During his stint at Milton McDonalds, Henrique started on the drinks station before impressing staff and being promoted to serving while Roary collected donations inside the store and drive thru.
With the team still away ahead of tomorrow night-s match-up with Newcastle Jets, Roary will be busy during the week helping to launch Kmart-s Wishing Tree Appeal.
He visited the Indooroopilly store this morning and will also be at Mt Ommaney Kmart on Thursday at 10am to show his support on behalf of the club.
This is the third year Brisbane Roar have been involved with the appeal, which helps the Salvation Army provide support to families in need at Christmas time.
