HINGERT: Roar ready to give everything

Roar start the weekend in seventh position on the A-League ladder after falling out the competition’s top six for the first time this season following last week’s heavy defeat at the hands of Melbourne City.

Sydney, who sit two points behind the Roar in ninth come into Saturday’s match off of back-to-back wins including a last ditch 2-1 triumph over Wellington Phoenix in their last outing.

Following a positive first week on the training pitch, Cahn said his side were ready to give everything in order to turn around their fortunes against Sydney on Saturday.

“We have to believe in what we’re doing and we have to start the process of moving in the direction we want to go and it’s my belief that if we get that right we’re every chance to get a good result against Sydney,” Cahn said.

“We’ve been through Sydney’s last performances with a fine tooth comb and we’ve obviously identified some areas that we think we can have some joy and we’ll do our best to maximise those.”

The new Roar Head Coach added his side were eager to reward the home support with a strong showing on Saturday night.

“We want people to come through the gates and we want them to stick with us and we want them to see the resilience of this group and we want them to see how much these boys care and how much they want to turn it around and how much we want to go on and do something this year,” Cahn said.
