Ahead of tomorrow night’s Hyundai A-League Round 27 fixture against the Jets, which will be played behind closed doors, Head Coach Robbie Fowler and Captain Tom Aldred delivered a brief message to the fans at this morning’s media opportunity for their continued terrific support.
Captain Tom Aldred:
“As players, coaches and the whole football Club, it is a difficult circumstance to not have our fans in the stands, giving us that 12th man affect.
For us, it’s difficult. However, we would like to thank all our fans for their continued support whether that’s on social media, or watching the game on TV, we really do appreciate it.
Hopefully, as soon as possible, you can get back out there in the stands and watch us represent Brisbane Roar
As the season has gone on, I feel like there’s been a real relationship built between the players and fans and you have picked up with us as we have picked up as a team.
Going forward, obviously it can’t be in the stands, but we hope and appreciate the support of our fans in any way possible.”
Head Coach Robbie Fowler:
“We obviously love playing at home because of the crowd and what they bring to us. Obviously, this is a different situation to what any player has been used to before.
We’re thankful for all the support we have had all year and we’re thankful for the support now. There are lots of messages coming through, lots of well wishes and we’re totally grateful.
Even though you’re not there watching the games in person, I know that you’re all with us. We’ll take a lot of heart and a lot of joy from that.”
