BRFC Head Coach Robbie Fowler says the Club’s passionate fans will provide a crucial boost for his side in tomorrow night’s FFA Cup Round of 16 clash against against Central Coast Mariners at Dolphin Stadium (7:30pm KO).

The Roar will host an FFA Cup Round of 16 clash for the first time after seeing off defending Hyundai A-League Champions Sydney FC in the Round of 32.

The Head Coach says his side have been training strongly and are anticipating another tough test against the Mariners on Wednesday

“The preparations been brilliant. I think from day one the aim was to try and do as well as we can in the cup,” Fowler said.

“We had a fantastic result beating the champions at their place but we know this next game will be even tougher because it’s the next round, both teams will be giving everything to go through.

“I’m expecting a great game and a big game from our lads.”

Wednesday’s game will be Fowler’s first competitive match as Brisbane Roar Head Coach on home turf and the Head Coach is hoping to see plenty of orange making plenty on noise in the stands in Redcliffe.

“On their day, I think we’re yet to see a set of supporters quite as vocal and raucous as Brisbane Roar’s so hopefully this game will be the start of something special,” Fowler continued.

“We need our fans, we really do. We need everyone to get right behind us and I know they will.”

Additionally, the Roar’s 13 off-season recruits are in with a chance to make a home debut for a new-look Roar side in Wednesday’s match, including midfielder Bradden Inman.

Inman, who played a critical role in the Roar’s win over Sydney FC, mirrored Fowler’s sentiments ahead of Wednesday’s match saying he can’t wait to get out in front of a big home crowd.

“Obviously it was a good win against Sydney FC and we’ve had a good couple of weeks training now. We’re all prepared for the game and the boys are excited,” Inman said.

“Everyone should come down, watch the new team – the new era as they’re calling it. We need all the support we can get to help us progress to the next round.”
