Lucas Herrington named in Young Socceroos squad for 2025 U20 AFC Asian Cup

Brisbane Roar defender, Lucas Herrington has been selected in the Young Socceroos squad to compete at the 2025 U20 AFC Asian Cup in China.

The squad will assemble in Tokyo, Japan for a pre-camp from Monday, 3 February to commence their preparations for the tournament, prior to relocating to Shenzhen, China ahead of their opening fixture against Kyrgyz Republic.

Australia has been drawn into Group A and will face Kyrgyz Republic (12 February), Qatar (15 February) and China PR (18 February).

The 17-year-old Queenslander, who signed a three year scholarship contract with Roar ahead of the 2024/25 season made his A-League debut against Western Sydney in December.
