Brisbane Roar defender Jack Hingert has re-signed with the club for another three years, taking his contract until the end of the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season.

Hingert, who joined the club prior in June 2011 after a two-season stint at North Queensland Fury, put pen to paper on the new deal yesterday.

“I-m really happy, it-s definitely a privilege to be involved in a club like this,” Hingert said.

“Coming from what happened with the Fury, Brisbane gave me a really good opportunity and I-m looking forward to the future with hopefully bigger and better things to come for us.

“Brisbane as a place, I love it here so definitely looking forward to spending the next three years here.”

The English-born defender has arguably been the club-s most improved performer in the early stages of this season and at 22-years-old, has already made almost 50 Hyundai A-League appearances between the two clubs.

Hingert is comfortable at either full-back position but prefers the right side, providing Head Coach Rado Vidosic with extra versatility in the Roar backline.

“I want to keep progressing the way I-m going at the moment,” he said.

“It-s great having Rado, Kenny and Jeff coaching me this year and I-m really happy with the way I-ve progressed, both since I arrived at the club last year and in this season so far.

Hingert will start at his preferred right-back position against Western Sydney Wanderers on Sunday.
