Brisbane Roar fan favourite Henrique says home advantage & the support of his home fans will be key as his side welcome Western Sydney Wanderers to Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

The Roar are chasing consecutive Hyundai A-League wins on Friday night following a stunning 5-3 victory over Central Coast Mariners in their last outing.

Henrique said the side is looking to build on that performance as the season enters the home stretch.

ā€œWe had a game plan to score a lot of goals, obviously we conceded but thatā€™s what weā€™ve been working on this week, not conceding as many goals and keep scoring,” Henrique said.

ā€œItā€™s been a very good week of training, everybodyā€™s enjoying it, so weā€™re looking forward to having another good game and doing our to get three points.ā€

Fridayā€™s match is the Roar’s first back at Suncorp Stadium since last month’s 2-1 victory over defending premiers Sydney FC.

Henrique said his side were buzzing to be back out on home turf, as they look to better the two draws played out against the Wanderers this season.

ā€œEveryoneā€™s very excited to be back at home after a very good week of training – hopefully we can get the job done.ā€

The Brazilian, who is just four goals shy of breaking Besart Berishaā€™s record to become the Club’s all-time top scorer, says the history between the two sides added extra incentive ahead of Fridayā€™s clash.

ā€œIt should be a very good game. Thereā€™s history between the two sides with grand finals and plenty of big games so everyoneā€™s looking forward to it, I think itā€™s going to be another great game,” Henrique continued.
