Injury update: Katrina Gorry

Our Roar Women will be without star midfielder Katrina Gorry for the remainder of the 2018/19 Westfield W-League campaign.

Scans recently confirmed that Brisbane’s midfield maestro had suffered a high-grade high ankle sprain that will unfortunately rule her out for the rest of Season 11.

Gorry, who recently played her 100th Westfield W-League match, confirmed on social media this morning that she has suffered a season-ending injury.

I thought I would be leaving this boot in 2018 but unfortunately I have ruptured my Syndesmosis & will be unable to put the orange jersey on for the rest of the season ? A tough couple of months ahead but the reward at the end is bigger than ever ?? ? ?

Gorry has made five appearances this season and has been a key pillar of the Roar’s midfield for the past six season.

The signing of an injury replacement player is being considered by the Club for the remains rounds of Westfield W-League 2018/19.
