Brisbane Roar is pleased to be welcoming back another homegrown Westfield W-League star with Isobel Dalton returning for another campaign in orange.
Dalton returns home after spending the majority of 2020 in Europe with Glasgow City and most recently Italian powerhouse Napoli.
The 23-year-old Sunshine Coast junior can’t wait to get another Westfield W-League campaign in her home state underway.
“It wasn’t a hard decision [to return] – there’s no coach or team I would rather play for,” Dalton said.
“It’s been a difficult year for everybody. To be with family was very important for me and to be able to be at home was a big part of the decision.
Dalton made her Roar debut as a teenager before returning to the Club before the 2019/20 campaign, during which she would go on to play a crucial role across numerous positions and make 11 appearances.
The versatile Queenslander says her experience in Europe has made her a more-rounded player and is excited about the squad that’s been built ahead of the 2020/21 season.
“Especially with Napoli, the style of play is very different so I’ve improved different parts of my game a lot,” she added.
“I think we have a very strong team and we’ll be pushing for silverware this season – we have a great mix of national team players returning and young players coming through.”
