Brisbane Roar boss Warren Moon says vocal support from a big Moreton Daily Stadium crowd will only add to his side’s intense motivation for today’s Isuzu UTE A-League date with Adelaide United.
The Roar return home for the first time this term in a 4:05pm clash with the side that ousted them from last season’s Finals Series.
Moon’s men will be using that result as an extra incentive to produce a strong result and will look to feed off a noisy and colourful atmosphere.
“It’s a lot of motivation,” the Head Coach said. “We’re at home. We hope to get a big crowd, we hope to see as many of our supporters there, and we want to put on a show and a performance for our fans.
“I’m just excited to play a home game. It’s a great venue, a great pitch. We’re looking forward to it.
“We want to get a big crowd there and make it as intimidating an atmosphere as possible for Adelaide. They’re always a tough competitor. Similar to us in a way – one-team city and a never-say-die attitude.”
After two tough same-day away trips to Melbourne, Moon indicated he would freshen up the starting XI for what will be a warm and sunny afternoon in Redcliffe.
“There will be changes, but we’ve got to play the players that are available as well,” he said.
“Luke [Ivanović] wasn’t available to start (the first two games) but he is eligible for selection from the start now.
“Juan [Lescano] isn’t quite ready to start but he’s able to play match minutes.
“We’ll look at everything and pick a side that we think can go and win.”
