Isuzu UTE A-League report: Hore the hero as Roar break Glory resistance

Henry Hore’s first Isuzu UTE A-League goal earned Brisbane Roar a thoroughly deserved 1-0 win over Perth Glory in the Isuzu UTE A-League on Wednesday.

Mere moments after coming on as a second-half substitute, Hore made an immediate impact when he turned in Scott Neville’s downward header from an Alex Parsons corner.

The 77th-minute goal sparked great scenes at Moreton Daily Stadium as Brisbane went on to claim victory in a match they largely dominated.

The Roar piled on 28 shots to five en route to the team’s first win of the campaign, with a brilliant defensive performance securing a second consecutive home clean sheet.

With four points now taken from two games, Warren Moon’s men are moving up the table and will look to make further gains when they host Adelaide United this Sunday.

That match kicks off after the Liberty A-League side’s meeting with Newcastle Jets, which gets underway at 3:05pm.
