Isuzu UTE A-League report: Mileusnić at the double in dominant win over Wanderers

Nikola Mileusnić struck a brace and Rahmat Akbari scored his first Isuzu UTE A-League goal as Brisbane Roar cruised to a 3-0 win over Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday night.

Missing key players through injury and playing their fifth game in 17 days, Brisbane cleared those obstacles without trouble in a dominant display at Moreton Daily Stadium.

The in-form Mileusnić continued his fine scoring run with a well-worked opener midway through the first half and the winger made it four goals in four games when he doubled Brisbane’s advantage just after the hour.

Akbari then got in the act with around 15 minutes to go, holding off a defender and coolly converting past Tomas Mejias to open his professional account.

The 21-year-old’s breakthrough goal put the icing on the Roar’s second victory in three games, a big momentum boost heading into Thursday’s trip to Newcastle.
