Jelacic Enjoying Attacking Approach

Brisbane Roar midfielder, Keegan Jelacic says his side are relishing their attacking approach under Head Coach, Ruben Zadkovich.

Jelacic, who is currently on loan from Belgian Pro League side Gent, made his return to the Roar in January’s transfer window.

Since rejoining the club, Jelacic has made seven appearances for the Roar, scoring his first goal for the club in a 5-1 win against reigning premiers Melbourne City as well as grabbing three assists.

Last weekend’s Isuzu UTE A-League round 20 clash saw the 21-year-old awarded the player of the match as the Roar came back from one nil down against Sydney FC to draw 1-1 away from home.

Speaking following Sunday’s match in Sydney, Jelacic who has made three appearances for the Olyroos said the side is striving to play an exciting brand of football under Zadkovich.

“It’s a positive environment, he’s always instilling in us to play good football…he’s just wanting us to play good football, play entertaining football for the fans and it’s a very good environment to be in,” Jelacic said.

The Roar sit in 8th position on the Isuzu UTE A-League ladder with twenty-six points, just three points shy of the competition’s top six.

This weekend’s Isuzu UTE A-League Round 21 action sees the Roar look to extend their four match unbeaten home form under Zadkovich, as they take on Macarthur at Ballymoore at 3:00pm on Saturday.

A win against the fourth placed Macarthur will see Roar within three points of the Bulls level, with just five games remaining before the finals.
