Jesse Daley departs Brisbane Roar

Brisbane Roar wishes to advise of the transfer of Jesse Daley from the club to Cavalry FC in the Canadian Premier League.

Originally a product of the Roar’s youth Academy from 2013 to 2016, Daley captained the Brisbane Roar Youth squad before heading to North America in 2018 to take up an opportunity with Seattle Sounders FC 2 (also known a Tacoma Defiance) in the USL Championship.

The 25-year-old midfielder returned to Australia and signed professionally for the Roar ahead of the 2020/21 season before going on to make 54 appearances across all competitions over his three seasons with the Roar.

Daley is now setting his sights on a new challenge within the Canadian Premier League at Cavalry FC.

“It was incredibly special to play for Brisbane Roar and have the opportunity to play professional football in front of my family and friends,” Daley said.

“I’m at a stage in my career where I feel I need a new challenge and new chapter, and I’m super excited to get over to Cavalry and get started there.

“A massive thank you to all Brisbane Roar fans for their support. The fans are the heart and soul of this football club.”

Brisbane Roar wishes Jesse all the best for his future.
