Young Roar are up against Brisbane Strikers in Kappa Pro Series Round Four action at Perry Park on Wednesday night.
Roar sit equal fourth in their group on three points ahead of their fourth group stage fixture.
With two rounds of group stage matches remaining Strikers are level in second, three points in front of Young Roar with the top two sides in Group B set to progress to the Quarter Finals.
Roar defeated SWQ Thunder 3-1 in their last Pro Series match thanks to a Rylan Brownlie hat-trick after suffering back-to-back defeats in their opening two group games.
Brownlie, who has also found the back of the net four times in the NPL this season was rewarded for his strong form for Young Roar with an appearance off the bench in Saturday’s Isuzu UTE A-League clash against Melbourne Victory.
Young Roar come into Wednesday’s match after a commanding 5-1 win over Rochedale in NPL Queensland action on Sunday evening.
Ivan Ozzi marked his first start in competitive action for the side with a hat-trick while Riley Gill and Zac Fowler were also on target at Underwood Park.
Sunday’s win leaves Roar seventh on the NPL Queensland ladder ahead of a match up with Olympic FC at Nudgee Recreation Reserve on Sunday.
Strikers, who are coached by Dan Carew are second on the FQPL 1 ladder and remain undefeated after eights rounds of action in the league.
Strikers come into Wednesday’s clash at Perry Park off the back of a 4-1 win over Logan Lightning.
There is no stream for Wednesday’s Kappa Pro Series clash kicks off at Perry Park at 7:00pm.
