Brisbane Roar has locked in its Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s squad for Friday night’s season opener against Macarthur FC at Suncorp Stadium.
Friday’s blockbuster is shaping up to be an exciting one, with a number of new recruits set to make their A-League debuts.
Since taking the reigns in May, new Brisbane Roar Head Coach Michael Valkanis has overhauled the squad bringing in no less than 11 new faces as he aims to bring ‘the roar back into Brisbane’.
Off season signings Dean Bouzanis, Youstin Salas, Dimitri Valkanis, Chris Long, Georgios Vrakas, Matthew Dench, Justin Vidic, Michael Ruhs, James McGarry, Jordan Lauton, Milorad Stajic and B Team graduate Noah Maieroni are all in the mix to make their competitive debut for the club in Friday’s season opener.
Austin Ludwik, Ben Halloran and Nathan Amanatidis will unfortunately be sidelined for Round 1 due to a groin injury, quad injury and knee injury respectively.
