Lumus Imaging Injury Update: A-League Men & Women Round 12

Brisbane Roar are back in action on Friday night as they face Auckland FC at Suncorp Stadium in their Round 12 Isuzu UTE A-League Men clash, with the Roar Women away to Melbourne Victory this Sunday.

Following a hard fought 1-0 defeat to champions, Melbourne City, Michael Valkanis’ men will now turn their attention to premiers, Auckland FC with a chance to return to winner’s circle on offer.

Roar ‘B’ Team products Emmett Shaw and Mikael Evagarou-Alao have retained their spots, with Shaw and Evagarou-Alao both making their debuts during Tuesday’s clash with Melbourne City.

Brisbane Roar would also like to confirm that Jacob Brazete will be unavailable for a number of weeks after suffering a minor leg injury in training last week.

As for Alex Smith’s side, there will be no changes to his 20-player squad that faced Wellington Phoenix in their 2-2 draw last weekend.

It was confirmed this week that 18-year-old forward Grace Kuilamu will be sidelined for an extended period after sustaining an ACL injury during Round 10 against the Central Coast Mariners at Polytec Stadium. 

Kuilamu is set to undergo surgery in the coming weeks with her rehabilitation program set to commence immediately after the procedure. The club’s medical and performance teams will support her throughout her recovery.
