Brisbane Roar has signed defender Patrick Flottmann on a short-term deal and added him to the extended squad for tonight’s game against Central Coast Mariners.
The former Young Socceroo joins the Roar as cover for injured captain Tom Aldred, who is recovering from a hamstring problem.
Flottmann, 24, has three A-League appearances to his name with Sydney FC and will provide additional competition for places at the back.
“I’m really grateful to be here at the moment and just looking forward to the opportunity,” Flottmann said.
“For me, this an opportunity to show myself and I’m looking forward to the games that are ahead.”
The centre-back’s immediate availability brings the extended squad for tonight’s Matchweek 18 fixture to 20 players.
