Head Coach Mel Andreatta is excited by the experience that the former Adelaide United & Canberra United player will bring to Brisbane.

“Having Jenna locked in for Season 11 is more great news for our side,” Head Coach Mel Andreatta said.

McCormick is the latest to commit to Brisbane for the upcoming campaign, following in the footsteps of six local heroes who signed on for season 2018/19 yesterday.

After making her debut in the Westfield W-league at just 18 years of age, McCormick has made over 60 appearances in Australia’s elite female football competition.

“Jenna brings a massive amount of Westfield W-league experience and I’m confident she will play an important role,” Andreatta added.

“On behalf of the club, I’m delighted to welcome Jenna to the Roar family.”

Following stints at Adelaide United and Canberra United, McCormick is one of only a select group of athletes to have played at the highest level in two different sports.

Roar’s new recruit made history as a member of the Adelaide Crows premiership-winning squad in the inaugural AFLW season in 2017.

“Jenna is an extremely talented sportswoman known for her never say die work ethic that will no doubt gain much admiration by the Brisbane Roar faithful,” Andreatta concluded.

After a successful 2017/18 season, our Roar Women will begin their premiership defence on Sunday, 28 October at Suncorp Stadium against Perth Glory. Get your tickets HERE!
