A fabulous new Hyundai i20 will be parked in Roar fan Peter Foster’s driveway soon after he won first prize in the club’s 2014/15 season Mega Raffle.
Paul’s name was drawn from thousands of tickets purchased in the Brisbane Roar Mega Raffle during home games this season.
The Coomera resident said he had bought a ticket in the Mega Raffle each time he attended a Roar match this season.
“Ï love going to Roar games. I go to every match I can and I sit in the Den. I love the atmosphere, it is just like being at a top European game,” Paul said.
The car, courtesy of Moorooka Hyundai, has a retail value of $13,990.
Paul was not the only lucky winner in the Roar Mega Raffle.
Second prize, a TAG Heuer timepiece with a retail value of $5000, was won by Mario Augousti, of Thornlands.
Third prize, a VIP Hyundai A-League Grand Final Experience, valued at $4500, went to Susan Burns, of Moorooka.
Other prizes in the raffle included a VIP brewery boardroom lunch for four with Roar stars and signed Brisbane Roar Hyundai A-League jerseys. The full list of major winners is below.
Proceeds from the annual raffle go towards the Roar’s community engagement projects.
Brisbane Roar Community Football Program Manager Andy Pinches thanked everyone who bought raffle tickets for their support.
“The Roar’s community engagement program is constantly expanding and we get new requests almost every day,” Pinches said.
“The proceeds from this year’s raffle will be poured back into those programs to ensure we give as many young footballers as possible the chance to be part of our Roar Active Program.”
