NPL Head Coach Owen Baker Departs Brisbane Roar

Brisbane Roar wishes to confirm that NPL Head Coach Owen Baker and the club have parted ways.

Baker joined the club after a successful eight-year stint with Brisbane Strikers, before joining Brisbane Roar Academy where he has been a Head Coach for three years in the U23s and later the NPL senior side.
Baker has played a pivotal role in the Brisbane Roar Academy in his time at the club, overseeing the U23s squad since November 2020 before stepping up into the NPL Head Coach role after the departure of Chris Grossman earlier this year.

Baker has also recently acted as both Technical Director and Head Coach of the NPL, working directly with the Isuzu UTE A-League set-up to oversee, promote and nurture young talent including the likes of Thomas Waddingham and more recently Quinn MacNicol.
Brisbane Roar extends its strong gratitude for all the work Owen has done within the Academy and wishes him all the best in his future coaching endeavours.
