NPL R15 Preview: Moreton City Excelsior vs Brisbane Roar

Young Roar are up against Moreton City Excelsior in NPL Queensland Round 15 action at Wolter Park on Saturday night.

Karl Dodd’s side look to make it back-to-back wins after triumphing 2-0 over Sunshine Coast Wanderers in their last outing thanks to a pair of late goals from James Durrington and Caleb Butler.

Durrington, who made his A-League debut at the back end of the 2024/25 campaign opened the scoring in the 78th minute when he pounced onto a loose ball on the top of the box before skipping past his marker and driving a finish into the bottom corner for what was his fourth goal for Young Roar this season.

Butler made it two five minutes later when he powered his way into the area and slammed home a finish after being played in by Ivan Ozzi on the end of a Lennard Atterwell throw-in to seal Roar’s fourth win of the 2025 NPL Queensland season.
