Young Roar return to NPL Queensland action with a Round 19 clash against Olympic FC at Nudgee Recreation Reserve on Sunday evening.
Karl Dodd’s side come into Sunday’s match off the back of a weekend without league action but will look to build on a 1-1 draw against defending Premiers, Gold Coast Knights in their last outing.
James Durrington put Roar ahead with a thunderous effort from outside the area in the 18th minute.
Roar were reduced to ten men in the 70th minute when goalkeeper, George Plusnin received his marching orders for a second bookable offence.
Substitute goalkeeper, Tyson Rusden immediately came up big, denying one of the league’s most prolific strikers – Marquez Walters from the resulting penalty.
