NPL R4 Wrap: Lions FC 1-2 Young Roar

Young Roar defeated league leaders, Lions 2-1 in NPL Queensland Round 4 action at Luxury Paints Stadium on Sunday evening.

The sides traded blows through Rylan Brownlie and James Enticknap before Ty Cobb popped up with a winner in second half stoppage time to seal all three points for Young Roar.

Seven players with A-League minutes this season saw action with Louis Zabala, James Nikolovski, Ryan Lethlean, Taras Gomulka, Shae Cahill, Ayom Majok, Rylan Brownlie and Quinn MacNicol all playing a part in Sunday’s match.

Lions levelled the scores in the 54th minute through Enticknap, who burst into the area before sliding a finish into the bottom corner.

Substitute, Cobb netted the match winner in the 92nd minute when he got in behind the home sides defence and calmly finished to seal all three points for Young Roar.
