Young Roar have played out a 1-1 draw against Peninsula Power in NPL Queensland Round 7 action at Nudgee Recreation Reserve on Sunday afternoon.
The sides traded blows through a pair of first half penalties finished off by Rylan Brownlie and Brenton Fox.
Brownlie opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 12th minute after Ayom Majok was brought down by Rhys Gray inside the area for what was his fourth goal of the NPL season.
Power levelled the sores with a penalty of their own, converted by Fox in the 24th minute after James Nikolovski fouled Yuta Hirayama with the forward in on goal.
Sundayās result leaves Young Roar eighth on the NPL Queensland ladder with eight points to their name after seven rounds of action.
Roar’s U23 side maintained their spot at the top of the league with a commanding 7-1 win over Power in the earlier kick off.
James Murphy netted a hat-trick, Zac Fowler netted two while Riley Gill and Kade McDougall were also on target in the sides biggest win of the season so far.
Next up for Young Roar is a trip to Underwood Park to face Rochedale Rovers in NPL Queensland Round 8 action on Sunday, April 21.
