Young Roar are up against Peninsula Power in NPL Queensland Round 7 action at Nudgee Recreation Reserve on Sunday afternoon.
Andre Bennett’s side look to bounce back after having a three-match unbeaten run ended with a 4-2 defeat at the hands of league leaders, Gold Coast Knights last weekend.
Captain, James Nikolovski scored his second goal in as many games while Shae Cahill was also on target against a Knights side who found the back of the net through a Godfrey Debele brace along with strikes from Zander Guy and Bradden Inman.
Young Roar currently sit eighth on the NPL Queensland ladder with five points to their name after six rounds of action.
Peninsula Power, who are coached by Aaron Philp occupy fifth on the league table with nine points after five games.
The Redcliffe based outfit, who defeated Rochedale 2-0 in their last league outing are home to several former Young Roar players including: Kane Gibbs, Josip Milicevic, Lachlan Hunter and Rhys Gray.
In the U23 match which kicks off at 1pm Roar look to continue a three match unbeaten run and maintain their spot at the top of the league table against a Power side who currently sit eleventh.
Sunday’s Round 7 games at Nudgee Recreation Reserve kick off at 1pm (U23) & 3pm (NPL Men) with the NPL Men’s match being livestreamed on the Football Queensland YouTube channel and FQTV.
