Roar, who start the weekend in fourth just a point shy of the Wanderers can go at least temporarily top of the table with a win over the league leaders on Friday night.
Roar come into Friday’s match off the back of a 2-1 win over Perth Glory that included a goal and assist from O’Shea.
The Irish midfielder, who has created a league best 19 chances so far this season praised his sides resilience to come away with the result in muggy conditions at Suncorp on Sunday.
“It’s hot conditions for us here every day, so I think in the second half we started to run over the top of them,” O’Shea said.
“We’re used to this weather, training every day and yeah it was a bit scrappy in the first half but I thought the boys were brilliant in the second half, good team performance and really professional from the lads.”
Sunday’s win sees Roar maintain their perfect return to Suncorp Stadium following on from a 3-0 win over Sydney FC in round two.
O’Shea who’s formed an impressive partnership in the centre of the park with Florin Berenguer added he’s loving the brand of football implemented by new Ross Aloisi.
“I said before the season I was really excited for the way things were going to go, it’s a great style of football that suits all the players,” O’Shea said.
“It was good to get another win at home, we were looking forward to coming back to Suncorp after the Sydney game and yeah we’ve got another game here on Friday night so we’re looking forward to that.”
Friday’s match against the Wanderers kicks off at 6:45pm AEST at Suncorp Stadium. Get your tickets HERE
