Queensland X-Ray Injury Update: ALM R24 & ALW R21

Brisbane Roar has locked in it’s squads for the weekend’s A-League action which pits the men against Auckland at home on Sunday while the women travel to face Central Coast the same day.

Ruben Zadkovich will be forced to make at least one change to the side that won in Perth with Keegan Jelacic suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the campaign in Roar’s 3-1 win.

Austin Ludwik replaces Jelacic in the 20-man squad with the defender in the mix to return from a facial injury suffered against Adelaide United earlier this month.

Jack Hingert, Walid Shour and Rafael Struick are all available for selection after returning from international duty over the past fortnight.

Should Hingert take part in Sunday’s game the fullback will equal Matt McKay’s club record of 303 Brisbane Roar appearances.

Sunday’s match will also see club captain, Jay O’Shea play his 150th A-League match for the club becoming just the eighth player to do so for Roar.

The 36-year-old Irishman, who joined Roar in 2019 is the club’s fourth highest goal scorer of all time with 27 A-League goals to his name.

Sunday’s match at Suncorp Stadium kicks off at 4pm AEST. Get your tickets HERE

Roar’s Ninja A-League Women face the Mariners on Sunday in a match that pits fifth against sixth at Industree Group Stadium in a crucial encounter in the race for finals football.

Alex Smith has made just one change to the squad that faced Melbourne City midweek with Grace Kuilamu replaced in the travelling group by Tamar Levin after the teenager was forced off in the first half with a shoulder injury on Wednesday.

Sunday’s Round 21 clash kicks off at 4:45pm AEST and will be broadcast live on Paramount+ & 10 Play.
