Brisbane Roar’s squads for the weekend’s Isuzu UTE & Ninja A-League action are locked in with a trio of players set to return from injury across the club’s Men’s & Women’s sides.
For Roar’s Isuzu UTE A-League Men – Ecuadorian attacker, Neicer Acosta is in the mix for minutes after being missing since round one with a leg injury.
Scott Neville also looks set to play his first match back at Suncorp Stadium since December 1, 2023 after returning from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in last weekend’s draw with Macarthur.
For Roar’s Ninja A-League Women, Laini Freier is in contention to make her Ninja A-League Women’s debut after being named in the 18-player squad for Sunday’s clash against Wellington Phoenix.
Freier missed out on the first four games of the season due to a leg injury however after completing recovery and returning to the pitch, she is in the mix for her first A-League minutes.
Ruby Cuthbert, who made five appearances with Roar in her inaugural season at the club is named in the matchday squad for the first time this season after missing the opening month of the new campaign with injury.
Alex Smith’s side will be without Sharn Freier and Tameka Yallop are currently on international duty with the CommBank Matildas after a 3-1 victory over Chinese Taipei overnight saw Freier score her first international goal.
