After a frustrating to start to the Hyundai A-League season, Brazilian striker Reinaldo is fit and ready to fire against Sydney FC at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday.
Reinaldo suffered a hamstring injury in the Queensland Roars Against Racism match against Everton FC at Suncorp a month ago.
Since then he has been working with the club-s medical staff to overcome the injury and as he approaches full fitness is looking forward to the challenge of facing the Hyundai A-League champions.
āIt has been difficult coming back to training when the other players are 100 per cent fit,ā Reinaldo said.
āI have been working hard and now I just have to get my fitness up.ā
āMentally I am very good, but I know I have to keep working hard.ā
The big Brazilian has the opportunity this season to wrest the club-s all-time leading scorer mantle back from the departed Sergio van Dijk.
With 19 goals to his name in 74 appearances for the club, Reinaldo sits just six goals behind the Dutchman.
āNow I am fit I want to be able to help the team and score goals,ā he said.
āThis is a big match for us and we need to win to get the three points.
āSydney are a favourite team for me to play.
āThey have some very, very good players and it should be a good game.ā
