Melbourne City have taken all three points from Friday night’s Hyundai A-League clash at AAMI Park.
Goals from Shayon Harrison, Ritchie De Laet & Riley McGree following an own goal from Harrison Delbridge proved decisive as the hosts ran out 4-1 victors.
The home side led at the break courtesy of Griffiths’ 27th minute header but parity was restored ten minutes into the second half as a brilliant Eric Bautheac long ball forced a Delbridge own goal.
City regained the lead five minutes later through Harrison before late goals from De Laet & McGree rounded out the scoring.
Brisbane return home to Suncorp Stadium for three straight home games to round out the Hyundai A-League season.
Wellington Phoenix are the first to travel to Brisbane next Friday night (6:50pm KO) before following home matches against Newcastle Jets on Saturday, April 20 & Adelaide United in a history-making ANZAC Day clash.
