As the Socceroos faced off against Mexico on Sunday in a pre-World Cup friendly in front of more than 75,000 at Rose Bowl, the Roar was proud to see a trio of former Roar players run out in Green and Gold.
Despite narrowly falling 1-0 to their opponents after a fiery clash in Pasadena, California, Roar products Lucas Herrington and Kai Trewin both featured heavily alongside former midfielder Aiden O’Neill, with Herrington starting the match and playing a total of 89 minutes at the back.

For Trewin, he saw the pitch for an extended period, coming on as a 66th minute substitution, locking down everything Mexico threw at him from right back.

It was fantastic to also see former Roar midfielder, Aiden O’Neill who started the match for Tony Popovic’s side before being substituted in the 67th minute.

The Roar is immensely proud to see all three Queenslanders, who came through the football system here representing their country and will keep our fingers crossed that they are all selected in the final Socceroos FIFA World Cup squad which is set to be announced tomorrow.
