Brisbane Roar return to the winner’s circle after a strong 1-0 win over Melbourne Victory at the Home of the Matildas on Sunday evening.
After a scoreless first half with plenty of chances for both sides, it was 19-year-old Daisy Brown who opened the scoring in Melbourne with her first Ninja A-League goal of the season. A corner from Marianna Seidl found Brown in the box for a tap-in to take the lead 1-0.
Chloe Lincoln came up with an incredible save in the final moments of the match to deny a late equaliser for the hosts, after a great shot from Kennedy White from close range.
Up next, Brisbane Roar hit the road again to face the Western Sydney Wanderers next Friday night in hopes of keeping the winning streak alive.
