Brisbane Roar secured a massive three points away from home after defeating Perth Glory 2-1 at HBF Park on Friday night.
In what was a thrilling match with countless chances for both sides, Roar have returned to the winner’s circle thanks to goals from Christopher Long and Samuel Klein.
Adam Taggart opened the scoring for the hosts in the 20th minute after running onto a through ball and getting the best of Roar defence to put away the first goal of the night.
Not long after, Taggart found himself back in the action after committing a handball in the box that resulted in Chris Long stepping up for a penalty.
Long confidently fired the penalty away to equalise in the West and make it 1-1 as both sides went into half-time.
After returning from the break, Sam Klein was hungry for a goal and finally found the back of the net with a lobbing header into the top right corner to hand the visitors the lead 2-1.
Roar will be pleased to return home with three points and now shift their focus to their Round 14 clash against Adelaide United next Saturday 24 January.
