Brisbane Roar is pleased to announce the addition of highly rated attacker Luke Ivanovic on a multi-year deal.
Ivanovic becomes the Club’s third close-season signing following the arrivals of midfielder Matti Steinmann and winger Nikola Mileusnić.
The 21-year-old said he was looking forward to playing regularly and developing under Head Coach Warren Moon.
“It’s exciting to come to a big club like this,” Ivanovic said.
“Warren has given me clear instructions for how he wants to play and it’s definitely my style.
“I like to be direct, I like to dribble and score goals.
“The boys and the coaching staff have settled me in already – it’s been really good to get along with everyone.
“One of the reasons I came up here was to get a better opportunity and really show what I can do. I can’t wait.”
PRE-SEASON: Fresh faces on board as team returns to training
Moon said the former Sydney FC player has all the ingredients to make a big imprint on the upcoming campaign.
“We’re a club that believes in young players but we also have high expectations for them,” Moon said.
“We think Luke has the ability and attitude to begin contributing quite quickly.
“It’s going to be exciting for us and our fans to watch him develop within our environment.”
Ivanovic trained with his new team-mates for the first time on Wednesday as the Roar’s pre-season began in COVID Safe conditions.
