Brisbane Roar will have four representatives in the Foxtel A-League All Stars team to take on Manchester United next week in Sydney after Besart Berisha, Liam Miller and Michael Theo were announced today.

The club-s current Gary Wilkins Player of the Year medallist Thomas Broich, who was unveiled as one of the first three players in the squad two weeks ago, makes up the Roar-s contingent of four – the second highest of any Hyundai A-League club.

Ahead of their week-long camp with the rest of the Foxtel A-League All Stars squad, the Roar quartet will be aiming to impress to get their chance to start against the likes of Robin van Persie, Ryan Giggs and Patrice Evra next Saturday night.

New Brisbane midfielder Miller said he was relishing the chance to play against the English Premier League side, a club he played for between 2004 and 2006 before moving to Australia two years ago.

“I-m obviously delighted to get the call up,” Miller said.

“Playing in front of a packed stadium should be a cracking atmosphere and I-m looking forward to it tremendously.”

For Theo, the Hyundai A-League most celebrated player with four Championships and three Goalkeeper of the Year awards to his name, the unique opportunity to play against one of the world-s most iconic clubs would be a career highlight.

“I-m super excited, it-s not every day you get to play against Manchester United in your own backyard in front of a full stadium,” Theo said.

“I-m looking forward to the challenge and it-s a good opportunity for the A-League players to showcase what our league is all about.”

Berisha, who came to Brisbane almost two years ago under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou, was excited to be linking up with the former Roar boss and Foxtel A-League All Stars coach as well as other Hyundai A-League players.

“I really enjoyed my time with Ange when he was in Brisbane so I-m really looking forward to being back in a team with him,” Berisha said.

“I-m with some of my teammates down there which will be great and I-m glad to see a few of us in the squad against United.”

The four Brisbane Roar players will head to Sydney today ahead of a week-long camp with the rest of the Foxtel A-League All Stars squad.

The Foxtel A-League All Stars will debut against Manchester United at ANZ Stadium, Sydney on 20 July with the match to be broadcast live and exclusive on the Seven Network nationally.
