The success of Brisbane Roar’s Pauls Roar Active Program has continued in the second week of school holidays with the club’s community program holding clinics at Barambah Bears, Brighton Bulldogs and Southside Eagles.
The Pauls RAP team also commenced clinics today at Narangba United and Souths United with Tweed United Football Club (Friday) and North Pine Football Club (Saturday) next on the schedule for the ever-growing community program which is headed by Andy Pinches.
Katrina Lovejoy, whose children attended the Bears clinic in Wondai, expressed her appreciation to the community coaches in an email to the club yesterday.
“My two kids absolutely loved it. Emma, who is only 6 and was the only girl in her group was treated wonderfully by all of the coaches and she had a great time throughout the two hours,” she wrote.
“It really made her day that the coaches knew her name and praised her good efforts. Ethan, who is 8 also had a great time, he is always looking for extra activities to improve his skills and was very excited when this opportunity arose.”
The Pauls Roar Active Program will visit Jimboomba United (Friday, 24 July) and Robina City Soccer Club (Friday, 31 July) before their annual regional trip up the Queensland coast begins in September.
The community team will visit Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, Innisfail, Cairns and Mareeba between September 8 – 18. For more information, please visit www.roaractive.com.au.
