Brisbane Roar will be looking to kick start 2026 with a bang as they face Wellington Phoenix this Saturday evening at Kayo Stadium.
Wellington Phoenix are coming off the back of two strong wins and will not make it easy for Brisbane Roar in Redcliffe but Alex Smith’s side will be determined to bounce back to winning ways on home soil.

Marianna Seidl has settled into Brisbane life well and is determined to see her side win all three points against Phoenix.
“I think it’s going to take an urgency for us in our attacking third,” Seidl said.
“We have been able to create a lot of chances in the games we’ve played so far, whether we’ve won or lost and so we need to be clinical in front of the net.”

Alex Smith has confirmed that Grace Kuilamu and Zara Kruger will be sidelined for Saturday’s match after picking up a knee injury and ankle injury respectively, in their loss against the Mariners.
Brisbane Roar will provide further information on both Kuilamu and Kruger once all assessments are complete.
2025 NPLW Golden Boot winner, Kyla Hanson comes into the squad and is in contention to make her debut this weekend.
