Brisbane Roar coach Ange Postecoglou and captain Matt McKay will take their place alongside Brisbane-s sporting elite next month for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland Four Codes Luncheon.
In an exciting development for the club, Brisbane Roar will be included in next month-s charity luncheon for the first time since the event-s inception in 2001.
The brainchild of former Brisbane Lions coach Leigh Matthews, the event brings together the best football coaching minds in Brisbane as they give an inside look at creating a successful team.
Postecoglou will be joined at the event hosted by Channel 7-s Pat Welsh by Queensland Reds coach Ewen McKenzie, Brisbane Broncos mentor Ivan Henjak and Brisbane Lions boss Michael Voss.
The foursome will be interviewed on stage by Triple M-s Greg “Marto” Martin.
Brisbane Roar chief executive Peter McLennan said the invitation to take part in the event was recognition of football-s growing standing on Brisbane-s sporting landscape.
“We are very proud to represent our brand of football at this event,” McLennan said.
“This is great recognition of the impact the Hyundai A-League and the Roar have had on Brisbane-s sporting market.
“Participating in this event is the start of what we hope to be a massive year for the club.”
The event will be held at the Sofitel Hotel on Wednesday, April 21 at noon.
Tickets are available for event through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland by calling 1300 138 470 or visiting the CCIQ events page.
