ROAR LOOK FOR BACK-TO-BACK WINS

Brisbane Roar will play their first home game of the 23/24 Liberty A-League season as they take on Sydney FC at Ballymore Stadium this Saturday.

This will be the first-time fans can watch women’s football since the iconic FIFA Women’s World Cup that saw Queensland unite in support of the Matildas.

In their last meeting against Sydney FC, the sky blues confidently won 4-1, but with a team full of fresh faces and determination, it is sure to be a must-see clash at Ballymore Stadium.

Tameka Yallop will be lining up against fellow Matilda Cortnee Vine, in a match-up fans will be eagerly waiting to see.

Roar will aim for two wins on the bounce for the third time in the competition’s history after their 2-1 season opener against Melbourne Victory last week.

Powerhouse Sharn Freier created four scoring chances in open play in Round 1, the joint-most of any player in the competition alongside Hannah Blake from Adelaide United.
