Brisbane Roar is pleased to welcome the Australian Teqball Federation to the Roar family for the 2023/24 A-League’s season.
Teqball is officially “The Worlds Fastest Growing Sport”, played in more than 100 Countries and with 5000+ athletes globally since its inception in 2012 and has now arrived in Australia.
The skills required to play the sport, draws on transferable skills & techniques prevalent in football such as; first touch, ball control & weight of pass, making it a valuable training platform and an ideal rehabilitation tool due to its closed sport / no contact nature.
“Teqball is a fun and skilful sport closely aligned with football player development and skill acquisition, said COO Zac Anderson. Teqball tables will be utilized before and after training by our NPL, ALW and ALM teams.”
Brisbane Roar are looking forward to fostering the partnership with the Australian Teqball Federation, to grow the sport locally during this new season for both our Isuzu UTE and Liberty A-Leagues.
