Roar secure Kijah Stephenson for upcoming Women’s campaign

Brisbane Roar can confirm that attacker Kijah Stephenson has re-signed with the club for the upcoming Ninja A-League Women season.

The Bundaberg native returned to Roar for the 2025/26 campaign after overcoming a long-term ACL injury that had sidelined her for the previous season, going on to make 18 appearances, scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists to finish among the club’s leading scorers for the year. Known for her pace and directness in attack, Stephenson first joined the Roar in 2022 after impressing with Sunshine Coast Fire and through the Football Queensland QAS program and has continued to build on that promise since returning to full fitness.

Speaking on retaining Kijah, head coach Johnathan Clemente said, “Kijah is one of the most gifted creative midfielders in Australia. Her movement and IQ will be paramount for the flexible football we’ll play and I’m excited to see another Queenslander get a platform to perform.”

Kijah Stephenson said, “It’s a real privilege to re-sign with Roar for another season. I’m looking forward to working with Johno, his passion and drive is exactly what the team needs to be successful again. There’s a lot of excitement around the changes and I think our supporters have plenty to look forward to this season.”

Brisbane Roar looks forward to Stephenson’s continued contribution as the club builds towards the new season.
