James Durrington started for the first time, while newest Roar signing Marius Lode made his debut in the starting eleven. Jazob Brazete also got his first minutes since Round 2 of the 25/26 campaign.
Victory’s Charles Nduka opened the scoring in the 13th minute after Juan Mata played the ball in for the 27-year-old to get the best of Roar defence and fire it into the back of the net.

Up next, Roar are back on the road to face Sydney FC next Saturday with sights set on more points to climb back into the top six.
