Experienced striker Rosie Sutton has signed on for the upcoming Westfield W-League season in Brisbane orange.
The seasoned attacker adds potency to the Roar’s front line with 23 goals across six Westfield W- League campaigns.
Sutton joins the Roar after spending the 2019/20 campaign with Melbourne Victory, as well as the last two NPL Women’s seasons with Souths United and Eastern Suburbs.
“I’m excited to be able to stay at home this season and have family and friends around me,” Sutton said.
“It’s one of the main reasons I chose to stay in Brisbane – family is really important to me. They’ve never really had the opportunity to watch me consistently so that will be a nice change.
Thirteen goals has Sutton placed well inside the NPL Women’s Top 10 scorers this campaign and Head Coach Jake Goodship is thrilled to have the 30-year-old signed on for the 2020/21 season.
“Rosie is a terrific addition to our squad,” Goodship added.
“We have a really good mix of experience and youth in our squad this year and Rosie’s experience, game knowledge and goal-scoring ability, shown across many seasons in the [Westfield] W-League will be a great asset for us.
“She has scored in every [Westfield] W-League season she’s played – that’s what quality strikers do and we hope that she can score plenty in the orange jersey this season.”
