Several Brisbane Roar stars have been nominated for Dolan Warren Awards following impressive displays throughout the 2024/25 campaign.
Club captains, Tameka Yallop and Jay O’Shea along with Momo Hayashi, Tamar Levin and Olivia Sekany all received nominations.
Yallop and Hayashi were both nominated for Ninja A-League 2024/25 Shark Fan Player of the Year.
Roar Captain Yallop, who finished as the league’s third highest goal scorer with 12 strikes to her name was nominated after winning Player of the Month three times throughout the 2024/25 campaign.
The Roar skipper, who also became the club’s all time leading appearance holder this season finished with the leagues’ fourth highest FotMob Player rating.
Yallop’s backheel finish in Roar’s Round 13 clash against Perth Glory at the Sam Kerr Football Centre was nominated for Isuzu UTE Goal of the Year.
A few weeks after the scoring at the Sam Kerr Football Centre, Yallop who was this week named in the PFA Team of the Season overtook the Matildas striker as the competition’s second highest all-time goal scorer behind Michelle Heyman.
Hayashi joins Yallop on the list of nominees after ranking seventh on the FotMob Player ratings.
The Japanese midfielder scored five goals, including two spectacular free-kicks that were nominated for Isuzu UTE Goal of the Year and notched two assists from 18 appearances in a brilliant debut campaign in the Ninja A-League.
Another player to find the back of the net in jaw dropping fashion this season was Tamar Levin, whose long range effort in Roar’s 3-0 Round victory over Perth Glory was also nominated for Isuzu UTE Goal of the Year.
At the other end of the park Olivia Sekany, who kept six clean sheets in 17 appearances whilst on loan from Racing Louisville earned a nomination for Ninja A-League Save of the Year for a flying effort to deny Western United at Perry Park in February.
Another standout season in midfielder earned Jay O’Shea a nomination for 2024/25 Shark Fan’s Player of the Year.
The midfielder, provided the most goal contributions (9) for Roar throughout the campaign with three goals and six assists, his 7.51 FotMob rating saw him ranked eighth in the league.
The Roar Captain was Brisbane’s only player to play every minute of the 2024/25 campaign, becoming just the eighth man in club history to make 150 A-League appearances for Roar in the process.
Additionally O’Shea was crowned Paramount+ Player of the Year after topping the Paramount+ Player Index.
Roar took a clean sweep of the broadcasters award with Alicia Woods also topping the Player Index and being crowned as the Ninja A-League Paramount+ Player of the Year.
